Devlog 4
Hello everyone! This is the fourth devlog on the development of our game. We have completed a first completely playable room for the game that we had to develop for a presentation. This left us an excellent level as an introduction for the game and its mechanics. Specially as we have added our first Sinergy.
What this does for the game
Having coded all the basic abilities (centering on the active abilities, having previously added the passive ones), as well as starting to implement all the sinergies are the crucial stepstones towards the completion of the game. On the same vein, developing a full level, with all its functioning parts gave us necessary experience for the remaining level design that we needed as a team. We now have the assets and knowledge necessary for the last leg of the journey, having done all that we needed to develop a game, now we just need to iterate upon it to complete it.
We are excited to implement the remaining sinergies and stepping up the level design to bring a pleasing and even addictive experience to the core gameplay loop to all those that try Mergevania.
Roadmap of our next steps:

Coding the remaining sinergies.
Design and build focused test chambers that require specific synergies to progress and offer alternative routes for creative combos.

Implementing a minimal inventory/equip UI (two shard slots, quick-swap, and a small synergy preview).
- Run iterative playtests to tune physics, animations, and UI feedback.
